Santa Hunt Was a BUST!

All dressed up to head to the outdoor mall to meet Santa and get our first picture in his lap!

Sienna had her fancy Christmas dress to wear, so we carefully packed it up and put it in the car so we didn't get it dirty (aka covered in drool).  She wore her little sweater dress and hat to stay warm and was in a GREAT mood.  The timing was perfect...just woke up from her nap, ate well, and was happy in the car.  We even found parking right away!!

Then.....

Accommodations were iffy, but we made due with what we had.  Sienna had to get dressed in the back of the car amongst Mommy's horse tack.  Yes, she's laying on Restless' saddle pad ;)

So we get her all dressed and ready, wrap her in a blanket, and race over to the line of people waiting to meet Santa.  As we step into line I hear "I'm sorry, but the line ends here.  Santa is not meeting any more children after this family until he takes his hour long break."  

Me:  You're kidding right?  His shift is from 10-3 and he needs an HOUR BREAK???

Security boy:  Yes.  You can come back after the break, but I can't hold you a place in line.

Me:  My daughter will be napping again in an hour!  You really can't let us squeeze in?  She can't take up too much time...she can't even talk to ask Santa for anything!

Security boy:  No. (yes, that's all I got...no!)

Me:  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!   (Well, in my head I screamed.)

So where do you go to beat the Santa blues??  The Mexican restaurant right around the corner of course!  Music and bright colors to entertain Sienna and Maragaritas for Mom & Dad!
