Lookin' Like a Local

We went  for coffee this morning and Sienna wore her "beach bum" pants and local surf shop hoodie.

Then she came to run errands with Grandma Connie & I and got to watch the koi fish.
The Carlson gang left yesterday so it's been a pretty quiet day.

Taking a test run with her new boat shoes.
She's more interested in the box.

Boat shoes just like Mom's!

12 Month Photo

Today we took the final picture in the 12 month photo frame.
She even combed her own hair, and then combed mine.
Apparently I wasn't presentable enough to be behind the camera. ;)

Sienna didn't get to join us at LegoLand today, but Samuel, Aunt Kathy, Connie and I had a great time...not to rub it in Sienna, oops.
I even got Samuel on a roller coaster, and we ended up riding it 3 times in a row!!

The Dragon roller coaster.

See...Sienna was having even more fun than we were at Lety's!
Baila Sienna!

Grandma Connie lets her run around naked after bath time.

Sandy Diego

Today was the day Samuel has been waiting for...BEACH DAY!
He told me that he figured out why they call it Sandy Diego...
"because there's so much sand!"

Ready to have some fun!
It wasn't a very warm day...but that didn't stop Samuel or Sienna.

Samuel watching the waves while he took a short break from building his sand castle.

Lety and Sienna in the water.
This baby is fearless...she kept walking deeper and deeper and loved the waves.
AND the water was in the low 60s...at best.
Crazy child!

Soaking wet, so now it's time to help Samuel build the castle.

She wants to go back in the water.
So we stripped her down and let her go get wet one more time.

We brought lunch with us, so Grandma Connie fed Sienna some lunch.

To show her gratitude Sienna gave her a nice warm, wet gift in her lap! :)
(She didn't have a diaper on for lunch...it was a clothing optional meal.)

Ha ha ha.  That's what you get Grandma for not getting in the water with her! ;)

Sienna waving to the ocean.
"Bye, bye."

Samuel, "I never feeded a baby before!"
Such a loving cousin.

Helping Aunt Kathy take the clothes out of the washer.

I don't think Samuel got enough water time in at the ocean.
He went straight for the water table when we got home.

A Memorable Memorial Day

Today is the Charleston/Florida crew's last day.
They were busy getting McKinnon supplies for his new apartment, but we all got to go out for supper.
We went to Sienna's favorite spot, Casa de Bandini.
Great Mexican food and a fun mariachi band!

Sienna found a chew toy this morning...gross.
It's Lily's old toy :(

If she's outside, you can always find her at the water table.
She loves her new toy!

Hanging out with her big cousin, Samuel.
He's playing a racing game on his iPad and she's fascinated.

Festively dressed in her Memorial Day colors!

Musica, musica...cha cha cha.
They even played Happy Birthday for Sienna, and
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for Ella.

Sienna shaking her maraca.

And then eating the maraca...uh oh.

After dinner we went for a quick walk down the street with Aunt Kathy to see all the gorgeous flowers that are in bloom right now.

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY SIENNA!

Today is the actual day...Sienna is one!
She wore her cupcake pajamas last night and was in a very good mood first thing this morning.
She came up to our room and we sang happy birthday over and over.
Each time she smiled and pointed at herself :)
Today was a much quieter day than yesterday.
We went to the club for Sunday brunch and had a great table outside with some shade.
This was more of an intimate family celebration, and the birthday girl got to sit at the head of the table with her best friend, Ella.

Outside playing with Samuel.

Then it was off to work a little with Dad.
She's such a good helper.

Carl, Sienna, Samuel, and I snuck away to get a yummy breakfast.
We brought it home and at outside.

All dressed up and ready for brunch.

Happy little birthday gal.

Samuel made the most of the waffle bar.
Whip cream AND sprinkles AND chocolate chips...WOW!!

In the spa/locker room for a quick diaper change.

Say it with me Sienna..."Spaaaaaah" :)

A quick goodbye to Grandpa Al.
His plane leaves soon for Montana.

Being silly with Opa.

Hanging out for a little bit with Grandma Connie.

She got away!!!!

A very happy baby Ella.

Grandma Kelly checking in on the birthday girl.

Sitting with Grandpa Craig and enjoying her spoon.

After brunch we went up to show everyone our property.
I thought it would be a great spot to take her 12 month photo with her stuffed animal, but Sienna had other plans.
The photo was not going to happen today.

Playing with Ella.
All of a sudden her "baby" toys are very interesting again.

Oooh, lights.

She stole Ella's bottle and just helped herself.
It was so much lighter than her glass bottles so she could actually eat and walk at the same time.
She loved it!

Back to her big-girl cup.
