Tomorrow is Sienna's actual birthday, but the big party was this afternoon.
And what a party it was! Spoiled lil' girl indeed :)
Friends and family from all over came to San Diego to help her celebrate, and those who couldn't make definitely missed out of some great food and tons of fun.
Sienna had friends and family come from Montana, Florida, South Carolina, and Orange County, CA!
Her invitations and the party had a button theme...
"Cute as a button, and sew much fun!"
Sienna's invitations.
I glued on a few buttons for some 3D fun :)
A fun thank you not went out to everyone who attended.
Up and at 'em bright and early as usual.
Sienna got right to work with Daddy watering the plants and setting up the tables.
Dad and Grandpa Al hung all the tissue balls way up high in the trees.
Cousin Nomi drew the clever welcome sign for the entry.
I made this wreath far in advance, so it was fun to actually get it hung on the door.
My friend Nena (her son Rhett & Sienna are in music class together) made pink lemonade cupcakes for the party. She owns a small catering company for desserts. The extra lemon frosting went on Sienna's cake that I made yesterday :)
48 cupcakes...and once the party was over there were only 3 left!
Candy buttons and beautiful flowers!
Buie and Aunt Kathy arranged all the flowers we bought in the vases.
A quick family picture before the company started to arrive.
Mom & daughter in their Lily Pulitzer dresses :)
Mmmm...pink lemonade with fun straws for the kids (and big kids).
Cute as a button...she definitely is!
Gift bags for the kids.
In lieu of gifts we told everyone they could bring an item to put into a time capsule for Sienna.
She will open it on her 18th birthday, May 26, 2030.
Some of our friends and family members were very creative!
Margaritas!
These are rough estimates...after I made this we actually measured the table that Sienna was able to walk under. It is only 28 inches, so we were pretty close. ;)
Instead of a guest book everyone signed their names on the button table.
Some used a button in their names, and some wrote a cute note.
It made for a great picture to remember who all was here today.
Sienna sat and relaxed in her chair before the party began.
Lety and her family also cater Mexican food and they did an AMAZING job on the carnitas and chicken tacos...with all the fixings of course.
A friend of theirs also came and made fresh, homemade tortillas all afternoon. Yum!
There was barely any left for us to enjoy the next day!
Make a wish...
She applauded herself for a job well done.
Watching everyone sing to her.
She had more fun removing all the buttons from the cake than she had eating it.
She did give us a good camera shot, but looks were deceiving.
She didn't actually eat any cake, just a couple bites of frosting.
She grabbed a couple chunks and immediately dropped them on the ground.
And we're done!
Waving her hands...signaling she's really "all done!".
Out of the high chair so everyone could sing to her again.
I taught her to point to herself when singing Happy Birthday, so that's what she's doing here.
Yay Sienna!
Holy moly, more guacamole!
Ella just couldn't party any more either.
She fell asleep on Uncle Danger's shoulder.
Baby Vienna enjoyed Sienna's bouncy seat.
Tattoos!
Muah! Kisses to all.
Adios! Thanks for coming!
Guest book is full!
The only remaining cupcakes.
Sienna was so tired she needed a little help from Grandma Connie to fall asleep for her second nap.
Having fun on your birthday is hard work!
Eating dinner after a big day with her cleanup crew all ready to go.
